2GR-FE INTAKE / EXHAUST: INTAKE MANIFOLD: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the air cleaner assembly Removal.

2. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE

Service Precautions.

3. REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the union to connector tube hose.





(b) Disconnect the throttle body assembly connector and wire harness clamp.





(c) Disconnect the vacuum hose clamp and fuel vapor feed hose.





(d) Disconnect the 2 water by-pass hoses.





(e) Disconnect the ventilation hose and vacuum hose.





(f) Disconnect the connector from the intake air control valve assembly.





(g) Remove the bolt and separate the No. 1 surge tank stay from the intake air surge tank assembly.





(h) Remove the bolt and separate the throttle body bracket from the intake air surge tank assembly.

(i) Remove the 2 nuts from the intake air surge tank assembly.





(j) Using a 5 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the 4 bolts.

(k) Remove the intake air surge tank assembly and 3 air surge tank to intake manifold gaskets.

4. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE MOUNTING STAY RH Removal

5. DISCONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

6. REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY Removal

7. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

(a) Remove the 6 bolts, 4 nuts, intake manifold and 2 intake manifold to head gaskets.
