2GR-FE ENGINE MECHANICAL: FRONT CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL: REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION (w/ Air Suspension)

NOTICE:
Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing Air Suspension System.

2. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH

3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH

4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH Removal

5. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT Removal

6. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY

(a) Using SST, loosen the crankshaft pulley bolt.

(b) Using SST, remove the crankshaft pulley bolt and crankshaft pulley.

(c) Remove the pulley set key from the crankshaft.





7. REMOVE TIMING CHAIN CASE OIL SEAL

(a) Using a knife, cut off the timing chain case oil seal lip.

(b) Using a screwdriver, pry out the timing chain case oil seal.

NOTICE:
After the removal, check the crankshaft for damage. If it is damaged, smooth the surface with 400-grit sandpaper.

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
