HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: CONDENSER: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 2 guides to Install the cooler condenser assembly as shown in the illustration.





NOTICE:
* Due to the potential of damaging the brackets, do not allow the brackets to touch the vehicle body etc. while installing the condenser.
* Do not allow the condenser to contact the vehicle body or radiator while installing the condenser.
HINT
If the condenser is replaced with a new one, add compressor oil to the new condenser.

Capacity:

40 cc (1.35 fl.oz.)

Compressor oil:

ND-8 or equivalent

(b) Install the 2 cooler brackets with the 2 bolts.





Torque : 6.0 Nm (61 kgf-cm, 53 in-lbf)

2. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT Installation

3. CONNECT DISCHARGE TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the attached vinyl tape from the tube and the connecting part of the cooler condenser assembly.

(b) Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the tube joint.

Compressor oil:

ND-OIL 8 or equivalent

(c) Install the O-ring on the discharge tube sub-assembly.

NOTICE:
Keep the O-ring and O-ring fitting surfaces clean from dirt or any foreign objects.

(d) Install the discharge tube sub-assembly on the cooler condenser assembly with the bolt.





Torque : 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)

4. CONNECT AIR CONDITIONING TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the attached vinyl tape from the pipe and the connecting part of the cooler condenser assembly.

(b) Sufficiently apply compressor oil to a new O-ring and the fitting surface of the pipe joint.

Compressor oil:

ND-OIL 8 or equivalent

(c) Install the O-ring on the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

NOTICE:
Keep the O-ring and O-ring fitting surfaces clean from dirt or any foreign objects.

(d) Install the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly on the cooler condenser assembly with the bolt.





Torque : 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)

5. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Installation

6. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR CLEANER INLET Installation

7. INSTALL HOOD LOCK SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the hood lock support sub-assembly with the 2 bolts.





Torque : 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)

(b) Engage each clamp.

8. INSTALL SMOG VENTILATION SENSOR (w/ Smog Ventilation Sensor) Installation

9. INSTALL HIGH PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY Installation

10. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY Installation

11. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER Installation

12. INSTALL LOW PITCHED HORN ASSEMBLY Installation

13. INSTALL MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) Installation

14. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY Installation

15. INSTALL HOOD CENTER CUSHION Installation

16. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Installation

17. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER Installation

18. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Installation

19. ADD WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID (w/ Headlight Cleaner System) Installation

20. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

21. CHARGE WITH REFRIGERANT Service and Repair

22. WARM UP ENGINE Service and Repair

23. INSPECT FOR REFRIGERANT LEAK Service and Repair

24. INSPECT HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY Testing and Inspection

25. ADJUST HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

26. PREPARE VEHICLE FOR FOG LIGHT AIMING ADJUSTMENT Adjustments

27. PREPARE FOR FOG LIGHT AIMING Adjustments

28. INSPECT FOG LIGHT AIMING Adjustments

29. ADJUST FOG LIGHT AIMING Adjustments
