DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) detects the condition of the door courtesy light switch.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the engine switch on (IG).

(c) Turn the Techstream on.

(d) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body or Back Door / Data List.

(e) Read the display on the Techstream.

2. INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LH OR RH)

(a) Remove the front door courtesy light switch assembly Components.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY - SWITCH)

(a) for Front LH





(1) Disconnect the 2H instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

(2) Disconnect the P3 front door courtesy light switch assembly connector.

(3) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

(1) Disconnect the 2D instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

(2) Disconnect the O4 front door courtesy light switch assembly connector.

(3) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

4. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY

(2) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(1) Disconnect the F12 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

(2) Disconnect the P13 rear door courtesy light switch assembly connector.

(3) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(2) Disconnect the O14 rear door courtesy light switch assembly connector.

7. INSPECT BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) w/o Power Back Door

(1) Remove the back door lock assembly Components.





(2) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(1) Remove the back door lock assembly Components.





(2) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK DOOR LOCK - MAIN BODY ECU OR POWER BACK DOOR UNIT)

(a) w/o Power Back Door





(1) Disconnect the F13 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

(2) Disconnect the Y9 back door lock assembly connector.

(3) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(1) Disconnect the P33 power back door unit assembly connector.

(2) Disconnect the Y10 back door lock assembly connector.
