2GR-FE ENGINE CONTROL: ECM: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL ECM

(a) Install the 2 brackets to the ECM with the 5 screws.

(b) Install the ECM with bracket with the 3 bolts.





Torque : 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 70 in-lbf)

(c) Connect the 2 ECM connectors and lower the 2 levers.





NOTICE:
* When connecting the connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not become stuck between the connectors and other part.
* Make sure that the 2 levers are securely locked.
(d) Install the wire harness clamp.

(e) Install the wire harness clamp.





2. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY Installation

3. INSTALL BATTERY Installation

4. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Installation

5. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR CLEANER INLET Installation

6. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

7. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

8. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

9. INSTALL FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER CAP (w/ Air Suspension) Installation

10. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the windshield wiper motor and link assembly Installation.

11. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

HINT
Initialization cannot be completed by only disconnecting and reconnecting the cable of the negative (-) battery terminal.

(a) The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) must be input into a replacement ECM Repair Instruction - Initialization.

(b) If the ECM has been replaced, register the ECM communication ID for the immobiliser system Repair Instruction - Initialization.

(c) Perform Initialization when replacing the ECM Installation.
