SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU: REMOVAL
1. PRECAUTION

Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing Service Precautions.
NOTICE:
w/ Navigation System for HDD:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY RH

3. REMOVE FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side Removal.
4. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH
HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side Removal.
5. REMOVE REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH
HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side Removal.
6. REMOVE REAR INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side Removal.
7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side Removal.
8. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU
(a) Disconnect the 4 connectors.
(b) Disengage the 2 claws (A) and separate the 2 connectors.
(c) Remove the 6 clamps.
(d) Disengage the claw (B) and separate the wire harness holder as shown in the illustration.

(e) Using a screwdriver with the tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the claw to remove the occupant classification ECU.
