SUSPENSION CONTROL: HEIGHT CONTROL COMPRESSOR: REMOVAL
CAUTION:
Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing Suspension Control System.
NOTICE:
Before removal, make sure to disable vehicle height control by pressing the height control OFF switch and confirming that the height control OFF indication is displayed on the meter.
1. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System for HDD)
NOTICE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
3. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE COVER PROTECTOR
(a) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 screws.
(b) Remove the 2 clips and No. 1 luggage compartment side cover protector.
4. REMOVE CAP GROMMET
(a) Disconnect the clamp and No. 2 height control hose from the cap grommet.
(b) Remove the cap grommet from the No. 1 rear bumper reinforcement.
5. REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL COMPRESSOR WITH BRACKET
(a) Remove the holder and disconnect the air tube from the height control way.
HINT
For the disconnecting procedure of the tube (type 3), refer to Precaution of Suspension Control System Suspension Control System.
(b) Disconnect the 2 connectors.
(c) Disengage the wire harness clamp from the bracket.
(d) Remove the 4 bolts and height control compressor with bracket.
6. REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL COMPRESSOR BRACKET
(a) Disengage the wire harness clamp.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts, nut and height control compressor bracket from the body.
7. REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL FILTER
(a) Separate the 2 clips and 2 height control hoses.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts and height control filter.
8. REMOVE NO. 1 HEIGHT CONTROL HOSE
(a) Remove the clip and No. 1 height control hose.
9. REMOVE NO. 2 HEIGHT CONTROL TUBE
(a) Remove the holder.
HINT
For the disconnecting procedure of the tube (type 3), refer to Precaution of Suspension Control System Suspension Control System.
(b) Separate the 3 clamps and disconnect the No. 2 height control tube from the height control compressor assembly.
10. REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL VALVE HARNESS ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the connector and disengage the 3 clamps from the bracket.
(b) Detach the connector's claw and the height control valve harness assembly.
11. REMOVE HEIGHT CONTROL COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 3 bolts, 3 bushings and bracket from the compressor.
