Disassembly

LIGHTING (EXT): HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY: DISASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT BULB (for Halogen Headlight)

(a) Turn the No. 1 headlight bulb in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration, and remove it.





NOTICE:
Do not touch the bulb glass.

2. REMOVE NO. 2 HEADLIGHT BULB (for Halogen Headlight)

(a) Turn the No. 2 headlight bulb in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration, and remove it.





NOTICE:
Do not touch the bulb glass.

3. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT BACK COVER (for HID Headlight)

(a) Turn the No. 1 headlight back cover in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration, and remove it.





4. REMOVE DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT BULB (for HID Headlight)

(a) Separate the light control ECU socket as shown in the illustration.





(b) Release the set spring and remove the discharge headlight bulb as shown in the illustration.





NOTICE:
Do not touch the bulb glass.

5. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT BULB (for HID Headlight)

(a) Turn the No. 1 headlight bulb in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration, and remove it.





NOTICE:
Do not touch the bulb glass.

6. REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB

(a) Turn the front turn signal light bulb and front turn signal light socket in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration, and remove them as a unit.





(b) Remove the front turn signal light bulb from the front turn signal light socket.

7. REMOVE FRONT SIDE MARKER LIGHT BULB

(a) Turn the front side marker light bulb and front side marker light socket in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration, and remove them as a unit.





(b) Remove the front side marker light bulb from the front side marker light socket.

8. REMOVE CLEARANCE LIGHT BULB

(a) Disengage the claw and disconnect the connector.





(b) Turn the clearance light bulb and clearance light socket in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration, and remove them as a unit.

(c) Remove the clearance light bulb from the clearance light socket.

9. REMOVE HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR (for HID Headlight)

(a) Align the notches of the headlight leveling motor and the housing, and pull out the headlight leveling motor slightly.





HINT
For the headlight leveling motor RH, rotate it symmetrical to the directional arrow shown in the illustration.

(b) Lower the tip of the headlight leveling motor to disengage it from the reflector and remove the headlight leveling motor.





10. REMOVE HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR BASE PACKING (for HID Headlight)

(a) Remove the headlight leveling motor base packing.

NOTICE:
After the headlight leveling motor base packing is removed, be sure to replace it with a new one. Failure to do this may cause water ingress.

11. REMOVE HEADLIGHT PROTECTOR (for HID Headlight)

(a) Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the "TORX" bolt and washer.





(b) Disengage the clamp and remove the headlight protector.

12. REMOVE HEADLIGHT LIGHT CONTROL ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY (for HID Headlight)

(a) Disengage the claw and disconnect the connector.





(b) Remove the 4 screws and disconnect the headlight light control ECU sub-assembly.

(c) w/ AFS:

(1) Remove the 3 screws.





(2) Disconnect the connector and remove the headlight reflector.

(d) Disconnect the connector and remove the headlight light control ECU sub-assembly.





13. REMOVE HEADLIGHT GASKET (for HID Headlight)

(a) Remove the headlight gasket.

NOTICE:
After the headlight gasket is removed, be sure to replace it with a new one. Failure to do this may cause water ingress.

14. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER BAR REINFORCEMENT

(a) Remove the 2 screws.





(b) Disengage the 2 guides and remove the front bumper bar reinforcement.
