U660E AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION / TRANSAXLE: PARK / NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH: REMOVAL
1. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System for HDD)
NOTICE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

3. REMOVE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER CAP (w/ Air Suspension) Removal
4. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
5. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
6. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
7. REMOVE BATTERY Removal
8. REMOVE INLET NO. 2 AIR CLEANER Removal
9. REMOVE INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER Removal
10. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY Removal
11. SEPARATE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY
(a) Move the shift lever to N.
(b) Disconnect the wire harness clamp.
(c) Remove the nut from the control shaft lever.
(d) Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws and disconnect the control cable with clip from the control cable bracket.
(e) Remove the clip.
12. REMOVE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the connector from the park/neutral position switch.
(b) Remove the nut, washer and control shaft lever from the control shaft.
(c) Remove the 2 bolts and park/neutral position switch from the control shaft.
NOTICE:
Before removing the park/neutral position switch, remove any dirt or rust on the installation portion of the control shaft. Be sure to remove the switch straight along the shaft while being careful not to deform the plate spring that supports the shaft. If the plate spring is deformed, the park/neutral position switch cannot be reinstalled correctly.
