U660E AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION / TRANSAXLE: SHIFT LEVER: REMOVAL
1. PRECAUTION
NOTICE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
3. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
4. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
5. REMOVE NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX DUCT Removal
6. REMOVE CONSOLE REAR END PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
7. REMOVE MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU ASSEMBLY (w/ USB Audio System) Removal
8. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY Removal
9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH LH Removal
10. REMOVE NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE Removal
11. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal
12. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL Removal
13. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL Removal
14. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX Removal
15. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY
(a) Move the shift lever to N.
(b) Disconnect the shift lock control ECU connector and transmission control switch wire connector.
(c) Disconnect the 3 clamps.
(d) Remove the 4 nuts and shift lever assembly.
(e) Disconnect the end of the transmission control cable assembly from the shift lever assembly.
(f) Turn the lock nut counterclockwise. While holding the lock nut, disconnect the transmission control cable from the shift lever retainer.
