C1568 - DC-DC Converter Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
As a fail-safe function, when the power steering converter assembly is malfunctioning, power assistance is limited/stopped.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER STEERING CONVERTER - BATTERY)
(a) Disconnect the g8 power steering converter assembly connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER STEERING CONVERTER - BATTERY)
(a) Disconnect the F101 power steering converter assembly connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER STEERING ECU - POWER STEERING CONVERTER AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the F10 power steering ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the F100 power steering converter assembly connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK POWER STEERING SYSTEM (OPERATION)
(a) Turn the power switch on (READY) and check whether the power assistance operates.
