P3107-215 - Airbag ECU Communication Circuit Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

- The power management control ECU (HV CPU) detects a problem in the collision signal line from the airbag sensor assembly and alerts the driver.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (AIRBAG)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / SRS Airbag / Trouble Codes.

(d) Check if DTCs are output.

Result:





(e) Turn the power switch off.

B -- GO TO DTC CHART Airbag System
A -- Continue to next step.

2. CLEAR DTC P3107

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HV)

(a) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(b) Turn the power switch on (IG).

(c) Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

(d) Check if DTCs are output.

Result:





(e) Turn the power switch off.

B -- CHECK AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (CHECK WAVEFORM)
A -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS

(a) Check for intermittent problems Check For Intermittent Problems.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE MALFUNCTIONING PARTS, COMPONENT AND AREA

OK -- REPLACE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY

5. CHECK AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (CHECK WAVEFORM)

(a) Turn the power switch on (READY).

(b) Connect an oscilloscope between the airbag sensor assembly terminals specified in the table below, and measure the waveform.
