U0293 - Lost Communication with HV ECU
DESCRIPTION
The CAN (Controller Area Network) is a serial data communication system for real-time application. It is a multiplex communication system designed for on-vehicle use that provides a superior communication speed of 500 kbps and a capability to detect malfunctions. Through the combination of the CANH and CANL bus lines, the CAN is able to maintain communication based on differential voltage.

CONFIRMATION DRIVING PATTERN
* Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
* Turn the power switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream on.
* Clear the DTCs (even if no DTCs are stored, perform the clear DTC procedure) DTC Check / Clear.
* Turn the power switch off.
* Turn the power switch on (IG) and turn the Techstream on [A].
* Wait 5 seconds or more.
* Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Utility / All Readiness.
* Input the DTC: U0101.
* Check the DTC judgment result [B].
HINT
If the judgment result shows ABNORMAL, the system has a malfunction.
* If the test result is UNKNOWN, enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes / Pending.
* Read Pending DTCs.
HINT
If a pending DTC is output, the system is malfunctioning.
* If the test result is INCOMPLETE or UNKNOWN and no pending DTC is output, perform a universal trip and check for permanent DTCs DTC Check / Clear.
HINT
* If a permanent DTC is output, the system is malfunctioning.
* If no permanent DTC is output, the system is normal.
