2GR-FXE INTAKE / EXHAUST: INTAKE MANIFOLD: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH HOSE

(a) Remove the air cleaner assembly with hose Removal.

2. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE

Service Precautions.

3. REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the throttle body assembly connector and wire harness clamp.

(b) Disconnect the fuel vapor feed hose.

(d) Disconnect the 5 clamps and separate the main wire.

(e) Disconnect the ventilation hose.

(f) Disconnect the connector from the manifold absolute pressure sensor.

(g) Remove the bolt and separate the No. 1 surge tank stay from the intake air surge tank assembly.

(h) Remove the bolt and separate the throttle body bracket from the intake air surge tank assembly.

(i) Remove the 2 nuts from the intake air surge tank assembly.

(j) Using a 5 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the 4 bolts.

(k) Remove the intake air surge tank assembly and 3 air surge tank to intake manifold gaskets.

4. REMOVE NO. 2 EGR PIPE Removal

5. REMOVE EGR DELIVERY CHAMBER

(a) Disconnect the 2 water hoses and connector.

(b) Remove the EGR delivery chamber.

6. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE MOUNTING STAY RH Removal

7. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE MOUNTING STAY RH Removal

8. DISCONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

9. REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY Removal

10. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

(a) Remove the 6 bolts, 4 nuts and intake manifold.

(b) Remove the 2 intake manifold gaskets.
