HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: COMPRESSOR: REMOVAL
1. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System for HDD)
NOTICE:
After the power switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM Service and Repair
3. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX Removal
4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
5. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER Removal
6. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP Removal
7. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY AND FAN ASSEMBLY WITH MOTOR
HINT
Refer to the procedure for Remove No. 2 Radiator Assembly Removal.
8. CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE
(a) Remove the 11 bolts and inverter terminal cover.
CAUTION:
Wear insulating gloves.
NOTICE:
Make sure to pull the inverter cover straight up, as a connector is connected to the bottom of the cover.
(b) Check the terminal voltage Removal.
CAUTION:
Wear insulating gloves.
(c) Temporarily install the inverter cover with the 11 bolts to prevent any foreign objects or water drops from entering the inverter with converter assembly.
NOTICE:
Make sure to pull the inverter cover straight up, as a connector is connected to the bottom of the cover.
(d) Using several steps, install and tighten the 11 bolts uniformly in the sequence shown in the illustration.
CAUTION:
Wear insulating gloves.
NOTICE:
* Make sure that the interlock are fully engaged.
* Do not allow any foreign objects or water drops to enter the inverter with converter assembly.
Torque : 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)
9. DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Release the green-colored lock and disconnect the connector (A) as shown in the illustration.
CAUTION:
Wear insulated gloves when performing the procedure.
NOTICE:
Insulate the connector by sealing it with tape.

(b) Disconnect each connector (B), (C).
(c) Disengage each clamp.
(d) Remove the bolt and disconnect the suction hose sub-assembly from the electric inverter compressor assembly.
(e) Remove the O-ring from the suction hose sub-assembly.
NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.
10. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge hose sub-assembly from the electric inverter compressor assembly.
(b) Remove the O-ring from the discharge hose sub-assembly.
NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.
11. REMOVE ELECTRIC INVERTER COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 3 bolts, bracket and electric inverter compressor assembly.

(b) Remove the bolt and bracket to the electric inverter compressor assembly.
