APPLICABILITY:

INTRODUCTION:
Some 2010 model year RX450h vehicles may exhibit a MIL "ON" condition with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0430 stored in the Engine Control Module or ECM (SAE term: Powertrain Control Module/PCM). Use the following repair procedure to address this condition.

This TSB applies to vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VIN shown.

REQUIRED TOOLS & EQUIPMENT:

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Using ETAS Techstream, verify DTC P0430 (Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2) is present.
2. Inspect the 02 B2S2 voltage and the 02 B2S2 Impedance.
3. If the 02 B2S2 voltage is 1.275 Volts or the 02 Impedance B2S2 is over 300 ohms with the engine at normal operating temperature replace the B2 02 sensor.

NOTE
If the above conditions are not present this TSB does not apply. Proceed with normal repair manual diagnostic procedures.

4. Clear all DTCs and test drive the vehicle to confirm the condition has been corrected.
