POWER ASSIST SYSTEMS: DC / DC CONVERTER: REMOVAL

CAUTION:

2. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP

Refer to the instructions for Removal of the service plug grips Removal.

3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

HINT
Refer to the instructions for Removal of the front seat assembly Removal.

4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH

HINT
Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

5. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

6. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

7. REMOVE NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX DUCT Removal

8. REMOVE CONSOLE REAR END PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

9. REMOVE MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU ASSEMBLY (w/ USB Audio System) Removal

10. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY Removal

11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Removal

12. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Removal

13. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

14. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH LH Removal

15. REMOVE NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE Removal

16. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

17. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL Removal

18. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL Removal

19. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX Removal

20. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH Removal

21. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH Removal

22. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

23. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH RH Removal

24. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Removal

25. REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH Removal

26. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH Removal

27. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH Removal

28. REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH RH Removal

29. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH Removal

30. REMOVE NO. 1 POWER STEERING BRACKET

(a) Turn back the floor carpet until the power steering converter assembly can be seen.

(b) Remove the wire harness clamp from the No. 1 power steering bracket.





(c) Remove the 3 nuts and No. 1 power steering bracket.

31. REMOVE POWER STEERING CONVERTER ASSEMBLY (w/o Active Stabilizer System)

CAUTION:
Wear insulated gloves during this procedure.

(a) Disconnect each connector and remove the bolt and 2 clamps from the power steering converter assembly.

CAUTION:
* Wear insulated gloves during this procedure.
* Wrap insulating tape around the terminals of the removed high-voltage cables and connectors to insulate them.





(b) Remove the 3 bolts and power steering converter assembly from the vehicle.





32. REMOVE POWER STEERING CONVERTER ASSEMBLY (w/ Active Stabilizer System)

CAUTION:
Wear insulated gloves during this procedure.

(a) Disconnect each connector and remove the bolt and 2 clamps from the power steering converter assembly.

(b) Remove the 3 bolts and power steering converter assembly from the vehicle.
