PARK ASSIST / MONITORING: SIDE MONITOR SYSTEM (w/ Rear View Monitor System): HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE
(a) Measure the battery voltage with the power switch off.
Standard Voltage:
11 to 14 V
(a) If the voltage is below 11 V, replace or recharge the battery before proceeding to the next step.

3. CHECK NAVIGATION SYSTEM
(a) Refer to the navigation system How to Proceed With Troubleshooting.

4. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*
(a) Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

5. CHECK FOR DTC*
(a) Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output Side Monitor System (w/ Rear View Monitor System).
(b) Clear the DTC Side Monitor System (w/ Rear View Monitor System).
(c) Recheck for DTCs. Try to prompt the DTC by simulating the original activity that the DTC suggests.
NOTICE:
The parking assist ECU may store the DTCs of the following system. If DTCs other than those specified in Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart of the side monitor system are output, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart for the applicable system.
