PARK ASSIST / MONITORING: REAR VIEW MONITOR SYSTEM (w/o Side Monitor System): TERMINALS OF ECU

1. REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the Y14 connector from the rear television camera assembly.





(b) Measure the voltage of each terminal of the wire harness side connector.





(b) If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

(c) Reconnect the Y14 connector to the rear television camera assembly.

(d) Check for pulses between each terminal of the connector.





HINT
A waterproof connector is used for the rear television camera assembly. Therefore, inspect the waveform at the navigation receiver assembly*1 or inner rear view mirror assembly*2 with the connector connected.

* *1: w/ Navigation System (for HDD)
* *2: w/o Navigation System (for HDD)
(d) If the result is not as specified, the camera may have a malfunction.

(e) Reference (Oscilloscope waveform):

A waterproof connector is used for the television camera assembly. Therefore, inspect the waveform at the navigation receiver assembly*1 or inner rear view mirror assembly*2 with the connector connected.

* *2: w/o Navigation System (for HDD)
(1) Waveform 1 (under normal conditions)





HINT
The video waveform changes according to the image sent by the television camera assembly.

(2) Waveform 2 (camera lens is covered, blacking out the screen)

2. NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (w/ NAVIGATION SYSTEM (for HDD)) Navigation System (for HDD)

3. INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY (w/o NAVIGATION SYSTEM (for HDD))

(a) Disconnect the T5 connector from the inner rear view mirror assembly.





(b) Measure the voltage of each terminal of the wire harness side connector.





(b) If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

(c) Reconnect the T5 connector to the inner rear view mirror assembly.

(d) Check for pulses between each terminal of the connector.

(d) If the result is not as specified, the camera may have a malfunction.
