AUDIO / VIDEO: REAR SEAT ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM: HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

* Use the following procedure to troubleshoot the rear seat entertainment system.

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE
(a) Inspect the battery voltage.
Standard Voltage:
11 to 14 V
(a) If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding to next step.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK FOR DTC*
(a) Refer to DTC Check / Clear Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
Result:

If more information is needed, perform a recheck using the "System Check Mode" screen after rechecking for DTCs using the Techstream Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

A -- Continue to next step.
4. DTC CLEAR*
(a) Clear the DTCs and finish diagnostic mode.
HINT
The current DTCs may not indicate actual malfunctions depending on the vehicle operating conditions.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
5. RECHECK FOR DTC*
(a) Recheck for DTCs.
Result:

* Even if the malfunction symptom cannot be confirmed, check for DTCs. This is because the system stores history DTCs.
* If more information is needed, perform a recheck using the "System Check Mode" screen after rechecking for DTCs using the Techstream Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
* Check the DTC and inspect the area the code indicates.

6. DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART
(a) Find the output code in the diagnostic trouble code chart Rear Seat Entertainment System.
NEXT -- Go to step 9
7. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
(a) Refer to Problem Symptoms Table Problem Symptoms Table.

8. CHECK ECU TERMINAL ARRANGEMENT BASED ON MALFUNCTION SYMPTOM
(a) Refer to Terminals of ECU Pinout Values and Diagnostic Parameters.

9. CHECK CIRCUIT
(a) Adjust, repair or replace as necessary.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
10. RECHECK FOR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE*
