DESCRIPTION

The display signal*1 from the parking assist ECU is sent to the multi-display assembly using the digital communication cable.

*1: Except DVD image signal for vehicles with DVD player.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DIGITAL COMMUNICATION CABLE CONNECTOR

(a) Check digital communication cable connector

(1) Check if the digital communication cable connectors between the parking assist ECU and multi-display assembly have any connection problems Electronic Circuit Inspection Procedure.

(b) Check that the screen display is normal.

OK:

Screen display is normal.

NG -- REPLACE WIRE HARNESS (DIGITAL COMMUNICATION CABLE)

OK -- END

2. REPLACE WIRE HARNESS (DIGITAL COMMUNICATION CABLE)

(a) Replace the digital communication cable between the parking assist ECU and multi-display assembly.

(b) Check that the screen display is normal.

OK:

Screen display is normal.

NG -- REPLACE MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY

OK -- END

3. REPLACE MULTI-DISPLAY ASSEMBLY

(a) Replace the multi-display assembly Removal.

(b) Check that the screen display is normal.

OK:

Screen display is normal.

NG -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Problem Symptoms Table
