C1A46 - Yaw Rate Sensor
DESCRIPTION
The skid control ECU receives vehicle stability signals from the yaw rate sensor and sends the signals to the driving support ECU. If the skid control ECU detects that the yaw rate sensor is malfunctioning, the skid control ECU sends a malfunction signal to the driving support ECU and the driving support ECU stores DTC C1A46.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK FOR DTC (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM)
(a) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
OK:
Vehicle stability control system DTCs are not output.
NG -- GO TO VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM Vehicle Stability Control System
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(b) Perform the following to make sure the DTC detection conditions are met.
HINT
If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.
(1) Drive the vehicle at a speed of 50 km/h (30 mph) or more and operate the lane departure alert system.
(c) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
OK:
DTC C1A46 is not output.
