Lane Departure Alert System

C1A4A - Skid Control Buzzer Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the skid control ECU detects a malfunction in the skid control buzzer circuit, a malfunction signal is sent to the driving support ECU and DTC C1A4A is stored.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SKID CONTROL BUZZER)

(a) Select the item below in the Active Test, and then check that the skid control buzzer sounds Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.

ABS/VSC/TRAC





OK:

Skid control buzzer sounds.

NG -- GO TO VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM Problem Symptoms Table
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. REPLACE MASTER CYLINDER SOLENOID (SKID CONTROL ECU)

(a) Replace the master cylinder solenoid (skid control ECU) Disassembly.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(b) Perform the following to make sure the DTC detection conditions are met.

HINT
If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

(1) Drive the vehicle at a speed of 50 km/h (30 mph) or more and operate the lane departure alert system.

(c) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

OK:

DTC C1A4A is not output.

NG -- REPLACE DRIVING SUPPORT ECU Removal

OK -- END (MASTER CYLINDER SOLENOID [SKID CONTROL ECU] IS DEFECTIVE)
