How To Proceed With Troubleshooting





PARK ASSIST / MONITORING: REAR VIEW MONITOR SYSTEM (w/ Side Monitor System): HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

* Use the following procedure to troubleshoot the rear view monitor system.

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE

(a) Measure the battery voltage with the engine switch off.

Standard voltage:

11 to 14 V

If the voltage is below 11 V, replace or recharge the battery before proceeding to the next step.

3. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS

4. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*

(a) Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

5. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*

(a) Use the Techstream to check if the LIN communication system is functioning normally.

6. CHECK FOR DTC*

(a) Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output Rear View Monitor System (w/ Side Monitor System).

(b) Clear the DTC Rear View Monitor System (w/ Side Monitor System).

(c) Check for DTCs. Try to prompt the DTC by simulating the original activity that the DTC suggests.

NOTICE:
The parking assist ECU may store the DTCs of the following system. If DTCs other than those specified in Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart of the parking assist monitor system are output, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart for the applicable system.
