How to Proceed With Troubleshooting

* Use the following procedure to troubleshoot the rear seat entertainment system.

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE
(a) Measure the battery voltage with the engine switch off.
Standard voltage:
11 to 14 V
If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding to the next step.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK FOR DTC*
(a) Refer to DTC Check / Clear Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
Result

If more information is needed, perform a recheck using the "System Check Mode" screen after checking for DTCs using the Techstream Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

A -- Continue to next step.
4. CLEAR DTC*
(a) Clear the DTCs and finish diagnostic mode.

The current DTCs may not indicate actual malfunctions depending on the vehicle operating conditions.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
5. RECHECK FOR DTC*
(a) Recheck for DTCs.
Result
HINT
* Even if the malfunction symptom cannot be confirmed, check for DTCs. This is because the system stores past DTCs.
* If more information is needed, perform a recheck using the "System Check Mode" screen after rechecking for DTCs using the Techstream Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
* Note the DTC and inspect the area the code indicates.

6. DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART
(a) Find the output code in the diagnostic trouble code chart Rear Seat Entertainment System.

8. CHECK ECU TERMINAL BASED ON MALFUNCTION SYMPTOM

(a) Adjust, repair or replace parts as necessary.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
10. RECHECK FOR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE*

11. PERFORM CONFIRMATION TEST
