INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK REMOTE CONTROL SYSTEM

(a) Check whether the remote control does not work for one of the television display assemblies, or does not work for both television display assemblies.

2. CLEAN INFRARED RAY RECEIVING PORTION

(a) Clean the infrared ray receiving portion on the television display assembly.





(b) Check whether the same malfunction occurs.

OK:

The function returns to normal.

NG -- REPLACE REMOTE CONTROLLER

OK -- END

3. CHECK SYSTEM

(a) Check that the remote control operation of the rear system is not locked by the display and navigation module display.





(1) Check if "Rear System Locked" appears on the television display.

OK:

The message does not appear.

HINT
If the rear system is locked and the remote control is used in the rear seat area, an operation not possible message (for example, "Rear System Locked") is displayed. If the message is displayed, enter the multi-display assembly settings screen and change "Rear System Lock" to Off.

4. CHECK REMOTE CONTROLLER (BATTERY)

(a) Check that the dry-cell battery of the remote controller is not depleted.

OK:

Battery is not depleted.

NG -- REPLACE REMOTE CONTROLLER BATTERY
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. REPLACE REMOTE CONTROLLER

(a) Replace the remote controller with a new or normally functioning one.

(b) Check that the remote controller operates normally.

OK:

The remote controller operates normally.

NG -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Problem Symptoms Table

OK -- END (REMOTE CONTROLLER IS DEFECTIVE)
