DESCRIPTION
w/ Manual (SOS) Switch
Using this circuit, the telematics transceiver sends power to the map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly), and the map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly) sends microphone signals to the radio receiver assembly via the telematics transceiver. The radio receiver assembly and map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly) are connected to each other using the microphone connection detection signal lines.
w/o Manual (SOS) Switch
Using this circuit, the radio receiver assembly sends power to the map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly), and the map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly) sends microphone signals to the radio receiver assembly. The radio receiver assembly and map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly) are connected to each other using the microphone connection detection signal lines.

1. INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the H31 radio receiver assembly connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY)
(a) Disconnect the H31 radio receiver assembly connector.
(b) Disconnect the W7 map light assembly connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER - TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER)
(a) Disconnect the H31 radio receiver assembly connector.
(b) Disconnect the G56 telematics transceiver connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER - MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY)
(a) Disconnect the G56 telematics transceiver connector.
(b) Disconnect the W7 map light assembly connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. CHECK TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER
(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

6. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the map light assembly Removal.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

7. CHECK MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY
(a) Connect an oscilloscope to terminals W7-12 (MCO+) and W7-13 (MCO-) of the map light assembly connector.
(b) Check the waveform of the telephone microphone assembly using an oscilloscope.
