DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) receives switch signals from the power window regulator switch and activates the door lock motor on each door according to these signals.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY)

(a) Use the Data List to check if the power window regulator switch is functioning properly Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.

OK:

On tester screen, each item changes between ON and OFF according to above chart.

NG -- INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY

OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) Removal

2. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the power window regulator switch Removal.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH - MAIN BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the J1 power window regulator switch connector.

(b) Disconnect the G47 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) Removal
