DESCRIPTION

The sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly receives map light assembly signals and drives its built-in motor.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly is removed and reinstalled or replaced, the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly must be initialized Initialization.

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SLIDING ROOF)

(a) Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the sliding roof slides open/closed and tilts up/down Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.

OK:

The sliding roof operates normally.

NG -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (SLIDING ROOF)

(a) Using the Techstream, read the Data List Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.

OK:

When operating the switch, the Techstream display is as shown in the table.

NG -- INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly

3. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the map light assembly Removal.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPLACE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SLIDING ROOF ECU - SLIDING ROOF SWITCH, BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the W2 ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the W7 switch connector.

(c) Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





Standard Voltage:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
