DESCRIPTION

When the fold seat switch is operated, a switch operation signal is sent to the fold seat control ECU. The ECU receives switch operation signals from each switch and activates the reclining motor and cushion motor.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK FOLD SEAT CONTROL ECU (FOLD SEAT SWITCH SIGNAL)

(a) Check the No. 1 fold seat switch signal.

(1) Remove the fold seat control ECU with its connectors still connected Removal.





(2) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:

for LH Side





for RH Side





(b) Check No. 2 fold seat switch signal.

(1) Remove the fold seat control ECU with its connectors still connected Removal.





(2) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:

for LH Side

2. INSPECT NO. 1 FOLD SEAT SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the No. 1 fold seat switch Removal.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FOLD SEAT CONTROL ECU - NO. 1 FOLD SEAT SWITCH)

(a) Disconnect the d1*1 or c1*2 ECU connector.

*1: for LH Side

*2: for RH Side

(b) Disconnect the Q11 switch connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

for LH Side





for RH Side





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE FOLD SEAT CONTROL ECU Removal

4. INSPECT NO. 2 FOLD SEAT SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the No. 2 fold seat switch Removal.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

for LH Side





for RH Side

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FOLD SEAT CONTROL ECU - NO. 2 FOLD SEAT SWITCH)

(a) Disconnect the d1*1 or c1*2 ECU connector.

*1: for LH Side

*2: for RH Side

(b) Disconnect the R15 switch connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
