DESCRIPTION
The fold seat control ECU receives signals from the park/neutral position switch and controls the seat folding and return operations. If the shift lever is in any position other than P when the engine switch is on (IG), the seat cannot be operated.

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK FOLD SEAT CONTROL ECU (PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH SIGNAL)
(a) Remove the fold seat control ECU with its connectors still connected Removal.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage:
for LH Side
for RH Side

OK -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Rear Power Seat Control System
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH - BATTERY)
(a) Disconnect the C33 switch connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the switch Removal.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
NG -- REPLACE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FOLD SEAT CONTROL ECU - PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH)
(a) Disconnect the d1*1 or c1*2 ECU connector.
*1: for LH Side
*2: for RH Side
(b) Disconnect the C33 switch connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:
for LH Side
for RH Side
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE FOLD SEAT CONTROL ECU Removal
