How to Proceed with Troubleshooting





CRUISE CONTROL: CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM: HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE

Standard voltage:

11 to 14 V

If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

3. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*

(a) Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

4. CHECK FOR DTC*

(a) Check for DTCs DTC Check / Clear.

(b) Clear the DTCs DTC Check / Clear.

(c) Recheck for DTCs. Based on the DTCs output in the first step, try to force output of the cruise control system DTCs by simulating the conditions indicated by the DTCs.
