DESCRIPTION

This circuit consists of the No. 2 air conditioning control assembly and air conditioning amplifier. When the No. 2 air conditioning control assembly is operated, signals are transmitted to the air conditioning amplifier through the LIN communication system.

If the LIN communication system malfunctions, the air conditioning amplifier does not operate even if the No. 2 air conditioning control assembly is operated.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 2 AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL - AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER)

(a) Disconnect the G12 amplifier connector.

(b) Disconnect the T2 control connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 2 AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the T2 control connector.

(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. REPLACE NO. 2 AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY

(a) Replace the No. 2 air conditioning control assembly with a new or normally functioning one Removal.

(b) Operate the No. 2 air conditioning control assembly to check that it functions properly.

OK:

No. 2 air conditioning control assembly operates normally.

NG -- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures

OK -- END (NO. 2 AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY IS FAULTY)
