THEFT DETERRENT / KEYLESS ENTRY: ELECTRICAL KEY OSCILLATOR (for Center Floor): REMOVAL
1. PRECAUTION
NOTICE:
After the power switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX Removal
3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
4. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY LH Removal
5. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER TRACK BRACKET COVER LH Removal
6. REMOVE REAR SEAT INNER TRACK BRACKET COVER LH Removal
7. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT LOCK CABLE ASSEMBLY LH Removal
8. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY LH Removal
9. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY RH Removal
10. REMOVE REAR SEAT CENTER HEADREST ASSEMBLY Removal
11. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER TRACK BRACKET COVER RH Removal
12. REMOVE REAR SEAT INNER TRACK BRACKET COVER RH Removal
13. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT LOCK CABLE ASSEMBLY RH Removal
14. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY RH Removal
15. REMOVE AIR INTAKE COVER Removal
16. REMOVE ELECTRICAL KEY OSCILLATOR
(a) Remove the 2 clips and turn over the floor carpet as shown in the illustration.
(b) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the electrical key oscillator.
(c) Disconnect the connector.
NOTICE:
Be careful when removing the electrical key oscillator. If the oscillator is dropped, replace it with a new one.
