DESCRIPTION
The power management control ECU receives the R shift position signal and controls the back-up light relay.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT BACK UP LIGHT RELAY
(a) Remove the back up light relay from the No. 2 engine room relay block.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance:
NG -- REPLACE BACK-UP LIGHT RELAY
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RELAY - POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU AND BODY GROUND)
(a) Disconnect the A80 power management control ECU connector.
(b) Remove the back up light relay from the No. 2 engine room relay block.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU
(a) Reconnect the A80 power management control ECU connector.
(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY - RELAY)
(a) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
