Heated Oxygen Sensor

1. INSTALL NO. 2 OXYGEN SENSOR

(a) Using SST, install the No. 2 oxygen sensor to the front exhaust pipe assembly.

without SST - Torque : 44 Nm (449 kgf-cm, 32 ft-lbf)

with SST - Torque : 40 Nm (408 kgf-cm, 30 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
* The "with SST" torque value is effective when using SST with a fulcrum length of 30 mm (1.18 in.).
* The "with SST" torque value is effective when using a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.81 in.) Service Precautions.
* The "with SST" torque value is effective when SST is parallel to the torque wrench.

(b) Install the wire harness clamp bracket.

2. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY Installation

3. INSTALL NO. 3 FRONT EXHAUST PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a plastic hammer and wooden block, tap in a new gasket until its surface is flush with the No. 3 front exhaust pipe sub-assembly.

NOTICE:
* Be sure to install the gasket in the correct orientation.
* Do not reuse the gasket.
* Do not damage the gasket.
* Do not push in the gasket by using the exhaust pipe when connecting it.

(b) Install 2 new gaskets to the No. 3 front exhaust pipe sub-assembly.

(c) Install the No. 3 front exhaust pipe sub-assembly with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

Bolt - Torque : 55 Nm (561 kgf-cm, 40 ft-lbf)

Nut - Torque : 55 Nm (561 kgf-cm, 40 ft-lbf)

(d) Using a vernier caliper, measure the free length of the compression springs.

Minimum length:

41.5 mm (1.64 in.)

If the free length is less than the minimum, replace the compression spring.

(e) Install the front No. 3 exhaust pipe sub-assembly with the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs.

Torque : 43 Nm (440 kgf-cm, 32 ft-lbf)

4. INSTALL OXYGEN SENSOR

(a) Using SST, install the oxygen sensor to the No. 3 front exhaust pipe sub-assembly.
