Power Antenna - Revised to Improve Operations
91lexus01
AUDIO 002 (REVISED) APRIL 26,1991 ES250
Title IMPROPER POWER ANTENNA FUNCTION ON NON-CD RADIOS (REVISED)
Power antenna operation on ES250 radios without CD player may be delayed as a result of low ambient temperatures affecting electronic circuits inside the radio chassis. A production change has been made on the radio chassis to improve power antenna operations.
PRODUCTION CHANGE EFFECTIVE:
From VIN P/D
JT8VV22T # L0113529 3/90
Previous Part Number New Part Number Description
86120-32400 86120-32401 2 Din radio without CD
NOTE: The radio chassis in the following vehicles have also been modified but will have the previous part number:
From VIN P/D To VIN P/D
JT8VV22T # L0106478 12/90 JT8VV22T # LO113528 3/90
These modified radio chassis with the previous part number can be identified by opening the cassette door and using a flashlight to see if there is a black mark on the Cassette Transport Mechanism at the location shown:
If a black mark exists, this is a modified radio chassis.
In the event of delayed antenna operation under cold ambient conditions on units built before the production change, please refer to the instructions below for radio chassis replacement procedures.
* To obtain a replacement radio chassis, contact Pioneer Industrial Components (1-800-553-3756).
