ABS Main Relay: Testing and Inspection

Solenoid Relay Operation Check:

1. Remove pump motor relay from the actuator.
2. Inspect pump motor relay continuity.
a. Check for continuity between terminals 1 and 2.
b. Check for no continuity between terminals 3 and 4.
c. Check for no continuity between terminals 1 and 4.
3. Inspect pump motor relay operation.
a. Apply battery voltage to terminals 1 and 2.
b. Check for continuity between terminals 3 and 4.
c. Check for no continuity between terminals 1 and 4.
NOTE: If relay operation is not as specified, replace the relay.
4. Remove solenoid relay from the actuator.
5. Inspect solenoid relay continuity.
a. Check for continuity between terminals 1 and 3.
b. Check for continuity between terminals 2 and 4.
c. Check for no continuity between terminals 4 and 5.
6. Inspect solenoid relay operation.
a. Apply battery voltage to terminals 1 and 3.
b. Check for continuity between 4 and 5.
c. Check for no continuity between terminals 2 and 4.
