Fuel Pump: Service and Repair

Fuel Tank Components:

- Disconnect negative battery terminal.
- Drain fuel into an approved container.
- Remove fuel tank.

Fuel Pump Removal:

- Remove fuel pump bracket from tank.

Pump Bracket Disassembly:

- Pull lower end of pump from pump bracket.
- Remove rubber cushion from fuel pump.
- Disconnect electrical connectors.
- Remove fuel line clamps.
- Remove pump from bracket.

Pump Filter Removal:

- Using a small screwdriver, pry filter retaining clip from pump.
- Reverse procedure to install.

Pump bracket - 35 in.lbs (3.9 Nm)
