Title FRONT STABILIZER BAR

To provide a wider range of caster settings the stabilizer bar has been modified and four different adjusting washers have been made available.

ADJUSTING WASHERS

The thickness of the four different adjusting washers can be identified by color (see chart below).

THICKNESS PART NUMBER COLOR

2 mm (0.08 in.) 90560-16014 Bronze

3 mm (0.12 in.) 90560-16015 Brass

4 mm (0.16 in.) 90560-16016 Black

5 mm (0.20 in.) 90560-16017 Silver

STABILIZER BAR

In order to install the adjusting washer, 3.5 mm (0.138 in.) has been machined off the stabilizer bar at the point where the adjusting washer is installed (see illustration).

NOTE: A painted mark has been applied to the stabilizer bar close to the adjusting washer to indicate the appropriate thickness of washer needed to make the caster settings on both the left and right as close to equal as possible.

NOTE: The painted color may be different on either side of the stabilizer bar.

CAUTION: When replacing the stabilizer bar as a supply part the appropriate adjusting washers are installed on the new bar. DO NOT remove these washers. Install the bar with them in place (see illustration).

When installing the adjusting washer make sure the bevelled end is installed as shown.

ADJUSTING CASTER BY REPLACING ADJUSTING WASHER

The caster can be adjusted by changing the thickness of the adjusting washer already installed. 1 mm (0.04 in.) will change the caster reading approximately 0.1 degree.

CAUTION: Never use two washers together on one side. If two washers are used, the lock nut may come loose.
