The method of centering the rear drive shaft with the differential side gear shaft has been changed as shown below:

MODIFICATIONS:
1. Differential Side Gear Shaft
A flange has been added to center the rear drive shaft.
2. Rear Driveshaft
a. The shape of the end cover of the inboard joint and the exterior diameter has been changed to match the flange of the differential side gear shaft.
b. Due to the change of the end cover, the thickness of the inboard joint has been reduced.
c. The end cover gasket has also been changed.
3. Rear Driveshaft Centering Bolt (After-sales Service Only)
The thickness of the replacement driveshaft inboard joint has been reduced, this modification requires two shorter centering bolts when installing the new driveshaft on previous vehicles.
4. When installing the new style rear driveshaft to the previous differential (without centering flange), two short centering bolts must be installed directly opposite (180 degrees) each other as shown below:
CAUTION: Contact may occur with the side gear shaft dust cover if the longer centering bolts are used.
