Title EXPANSION VALVE AND EPR NOISE


Modifications have been made to the air conditioning system to eliminate the groan noise created during pressure equalization of the air conditioning system after the engine is turned "OFF".

1) Expansion Valve flow rate has been reduced to limit the maximum flow rate of freon through the expansion valve.

2) An O-ring has been added to the EPR piston to prevent vibration of the internal piston during pressure equalization.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

When experiencing this condition, both expansion valve and EPR should be changed.
