Front Seat

REMOVAL OF FRONT SEAT






1. REMOVE HEADREST
(a) (Manual Type)
While pushing the lock button, pull up the headrest to remove it.
(b) (Electrical Type)
Slide the headrest upward.
(c) (Electrical Type)
While pushing the supports, remove the headrest.






2. REMOVE SEAT TRACK COVERS
Using a screwdriver, pry out four covers.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT
(a) Remove three bolts and the nut.
(b) Disconnect the connector.











INSTALLATION OF FRONT SEAT
1. IN STALL HEADREST TO SEAT
2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT

HINT: Before installation, be sure to align the nuts with the holes of body panel.

(a) Connect the connector.
(b) Install three bolts, nut and the seat.
Torque: 37 N.m (375 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf)
3. CHECK SEAT ADJUSTER PROPER OPERATION
4. INSTALL SEAT TRACK COVERS






1. REMOVE SEAT GARNISH
(a) Using a screwdriver, remove two switch knobs.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(b) Remove two screws.






(c) Remove five screws from the seat lower side.
(d) Using the screwdriver, pry the clips.
(e) Remove the garnish as shown.
(f) Disconnect the connector.






2. REMOVE SEAT BACK BOARD
(a) Remove two screws.
(b) Push the board as shown with your hands.
(c) Slide the board upward to remove it.






3. REMOVE SEAT BACK ASSEMBLY
(a) Disconnect the hook.
(b) Using the screwdriver1 remove the clips.






(c) Using the screwdriver, disconnect wire harness clamps.
(d) Disconnect the connectors.






(e) Disconnect side hooks.
(f) Remove four bolts and the seat back assembly.

HINT: Do not damage the wire harness or connectors.






4. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove four bolts.






(b) Using a clip remover, disconnect the wire harness clamps.
(c) Disconnect the connectors.
(d) Remove the seat cushion assembly.






5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT






6. REMOVE SEAT BACK COVER
(a) Using the screwdriver, remove the hog rings and disconnect the hooks from the seat back.
(b) Remove front seat back spring.
(c) Using the screwdriver, remove the clips, the hog rings and the front seat back cover.






(d) Place matchmarks on the reclining seat adjuster.
(e) Remove the four bolts, reclining adjuster and connecting pipe.






7. REMOVE RECLINING MOTOR
Remove three screws and the motor.






8. REMOVE LUMBER SUPPORT MOTOR
Remove two bolts and the motor.






9. REMOVE HEAD REST MOTOR
Remove two bolts and the motor.






10. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER
(a) Peel the seat cushion cover away from around the edge of the seat cushion.
(b) Remove hog rings.
(c) Remove the seat cushion cover.






DISASSEMBLY OF POWER SEAT REGULATOR






1. REMOVE FRONT AND REAR VERTICAL MOTOR
(a) Remove four screws and vertical motors.
(b) Remove two drive cables.






2. REMOVE POWER SEAT SIDE HOUSING
(a) Remove the connector clamps.






(b) Remove two screws and screw shaft support bushing.






(c) Using pliers and hold the screw shaft.
(d) Remove two nuts and two washers.






(e) Using a 6 mm hexagon wrench, remove two screws.
(f) Remove two side housing.
(g) Remove the screws and casing from side housing.






3. REMOVE SLIDE MOTOR AND POWER SEAT SIDE HOUSING
(a) Using pliers and hold the screw shaft.
(b) Remove two nuts and washers.






(c) Remove four bolts.






(d) Remove the front vertical link and slide motor support bracket.






(e) Using a 6 mm hexagon wrench, remove two screws.
(f) Remove two screws.
(g) Remove slide motor together with drive cable and side housing from motor support bracket.
(h) Using a 6 mm hexagon wrench, remove side housing and casing.






ASSEMBLY OF POWER SEAT REGULATOR
INSTALL SLIDE AND VERTICAL MOTOR
For installation follow the removal procedure in reverse.
(MAIN POINT OF INSTALLATION)
Apply sealant to precoated parts while refering to the components diagram. Sealant: Part No.08833-00070, THREE BOND 1324 or equivalent.






ASSEMBLY OF FRONT SEAT
ASSEMBLE FRONT SEAT PARTS BY FOLLOWING DISASSEMBLY SEQUENCE IN REVERSE






HINT:
- Using hog ring pliers, install the new hog ring.
- Before installing the reclining adjuster, align the matchmarks.
- If creases occur in the front seat, stretch out the creases by heating them with a dryer, etc.
If the creases still cannot be removed, spray them lightly with a vaporizer before applying the hair dryer again.






Rear Seat
REMOVAL OF REAR SEAT






1. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION
(a) Pull the front left and right levers of lock hooks forward and pull up the seat cushion.
(b) (w/Seat heater)
Disconnect the connectors.
2. REMOVE REAR SEAT INNER BELT






3. REMOVE REAR SEAT BACK
(a) Remove four bolts.
(b) (w/Seat heater) Disconnect the connectors.
(c) Pull up the seat back to remove it.











INSTALLATION OF REAR SEAT
1. INSTALL REAR SEAT BACK
(a) Push down the rear seat back and install four bolts.
Torque: 18 N.m (185 kgf-cm, 13 ft.lbf)
(b) (w/Seat heater) Connect the connectors.
2. INSTALL REAR SEAT INNER BELT






3. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION
(a) Insert the seat cushion wire to seat back.
(b) (w/Seat heater)
Connect the connectors.






HINT: Before installation, confirm the rear seat belts are positioned as shown.
(c) Push down the cushion to install the levers to the body panel.

HINT: Confirm that the seat is installed firmly.






DISASSEMBLY OF REAR SEAT






1 REMOVE SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK






2. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION FRAME
Remove the hog rings and the frame.
3. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER
Remove hog rings and the cover.
4. REMOVE HEADREST
While pushing the lock button, pull up the headrest to remove it.






5. REMOVE CENTER ARMREST
Remove two nuts and the armrest.






6. REMOVE HEADREST SUPPORT
Clamp the support by hand and pull out the support.
7. REMOVE SEAT BACK FRAME
Remove hog rings and the frame.
8. REMOVE SEAT BACK COVER
Remove hog rings and the cover.











ASSEMBLY OF REAR SEAT
ASSEMBLE THE REAR SEAT PARTS BY FOLLOWING DISASSEMBLY SEQUENCE IN REVERSE

HINT:
- Using a hog ring pliers, install the new hog ring.
- If creases occur in the front seat, stretch out the creases by heating them with a dryer, etc.
If the creases still cannot be removed, spray them lightly with a vaporizer before applying the hair dryer again.
