Evaporator Temperature Sensor / Switch: Testing and Inspection

Wiring Diagram:

1. Remove and disconnect evaporator temperature sensor.
2. Check resistance between terminals 1 and 2 of evaporator temperature sensor connector at each temperature.

RESISTANCE:

At 0°C (32°F) 4.5 - 5.2 K Ohms
At 15°C (59°F) 2.0 - 2.7 K Ohms

HINT: As the temperature increases, the resistance decreases.

4. If the sensor fails this test replace the room temperature sensor.
