A mudguard kit is now available for installation on LS400. Be sure to thoroughly clean all attachment areas and carefully follow the installation procedures below.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:

FRONT OF VEHICLE

Figure 1:

1. Remove the front tire to obtain sufficient space in wheel arch molding area of the wheel well. Remove the phillips screw ("1") from the bottom of the fender liner and the push-pin ("2") from the wheel arch molding (see Figure 1).

Figure 2:

2. Install the mudguard by inserting the clip ("A"), found on the mudguard, on the wheel arch molding (see Figure 2).

Figure 3:

3. Using a 4 mm allen wrench, secure the mudguard to the bottom of the fender liner with the short allen head screw, found in the hardware bag, and tighten (see Figure 3).

Figure 4:

4. Insert the push-pin, found in the hardware bag, into the mudguard hole ("2") to secure the mudguard to the wheel arch molding (see Figure 4).

Figure 5:

5. While holding the mudguard flush to the body, use the mudguard as a template to drill (No. 40 drill bit) the holes into the wheel arch molding for the uppermost hole ("A") and the hole located below the push-pin secured hole of the mudguard ("B") (see Figure 5)

Figure 6:

6. Using an allen wrench, secure the mudguard to the wheel arch molding at the holes drilled in the previous step with the short allen head screws, found in the hardware bag, and tighten (see Figure 6).

Reinstall the front tire.

REAR OF VEHICLE

Figure 7:

7. Remove the rear tire to obtain sufficient space in the rear bumper area of the wheel well. Using an allen wrench, remove the allen head screw from the grommet ("D") at the bottom of the wheel well (see Figure 7).

Figure 8:

8. Install the mudguard by inserting the clip ("B"), found on the mudguard, onto the rear bumper (see Figure 8).

Figure 9:

9. Using an allen wrench, install the long allen head screw, located in the hardware bag, into the grommet ("D") at the bottom of the wheel well to secure the mudguard and tighten (see Figure 9).

Figure 10:

10. While holding the mudguard flush to the body, use the mudguard as a drill template to drill (No. 40 drill bit) the holes into the rear bumper for the three remaining holes ("A", "B" and "C") of the mudguard (see Figure 10 and 10a).

Figure 10a:

NOTE: Caution should be taken when drilling hole "C" to ensure the vehicle grommet is correctly aligned. If the vehicle grommet is missing prior to installation or is damaged during drilling, replace with a new grommet found in the hardware bag.

Figure 11:

11. Using an allen wrench, install the short allen head screw at its two top holes ("A" and "B") and install the long allen head screw into the grommet located at hole "C" to secure the mudguard to the rear bumper and tighten (see Figure 11).

Reinstall the rear tire.
