Title: SUN VISOR REPLACEMENT (REVISED)





To improve serviceability, sun visors can now be replaced independently of the front headliner assembly and are available as follows:


SUN VISOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1) Remove the front roof headliner (figure 1).

a) Remove front pillar garnish.

b) Remove map light.

c) Remove center visor and inner rear view mirror (refer to Lexus Repair Manual page BO-163; Publication number RM203U2).

2) Remove the adhesive tape fixing the wire harness (figure 1).

3) Disconnect the connector from the bracket (figure 1) and pull the terminal pin and wire from the plastic connector housing.





4) Remove the E-ring (figure 2).





5) Shave-off the head of the sun visor arm (figure 3).

6) Remove the sun visor from the headliner.





Installation of Sun Visor
1) Install the new sun visor to the roof headliner (figure 4).





2) Install the new E-ring (part of kit) (figure 5).





3) Cover the wire with the pad (figure 6).

4) Insert the terminal pin and wire into the connector.





5) Attach the connector to bracket (figure 7).

6) Attach the wire harness to the front roof headlining with adhesive tape (figure 7).

7) Install the front roof headliner (refer to Lexus Repair Manual, page BO-167).
