Water Leakage At Moonroof

Title: LS 400 WATER LEAKAGE AT MOONROOF
LS 400
On some LS 400 vehicles, water may leak past the moonroof and into the passenger compartment. To correct this condition, the sliding roof guide rail covers have been modified as follow:

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
The following procedure should be used to correct this condition:
1) Confirm that water pools on top of sliding roof guide rail covers.
NOTE: Also confirm that moonroof drains are free of debris and operating properly.
2) Remove sliding roof guide rail covers.
3) Trim or cut off the upper surface of the sliding roof housing by 1 mm.
TIP: A Dremel(R) tool or similar product works well for this.
4) Install new sliding roof guide rail covers.
5) Confirm that water runs off of sliding roof cable guide covers, into housing and out of drain.
