Fluid Drain & Refill Procedures

1. Remove drain plug, drain fluid, then replace plug.
2. With engine off add new fluid through filler tube. Use fluid type T-IV (TSB - T003-99 5/21/99). Drain and refill capacity is 1.7 qts. on SC300 and 2.0 qts. on SC400 and LS400. Do not overfill.
3. Start engine and depress brake pedal, then move shift lever through all positions, returning to the Park position. With the engine idling, check fluid level and add fluid up to dipstick Cool level.
4. Once fluid temperature reaches 158-176°F, recheck fluid level, add as necessary.
