Title: MOONROOF PANEL SERVICE TIPS





To limit internal stress on the moon roof panel glass, the six mounting studs have been reduced to four (see illustration).





PRODUCTION EFFECTIVE:





NOTE:
The 4 and 6 stud moonroof panels are completely interchangeable and the part numbers have not been changed.

If adding or removing moon roof shims from a 6 stud moon roof panel (vehicles built prior to 2/94, VIN # JTBGK13T - R0041540) Discard stud nuts at forward position of the double shims.





Torque settings for the stud nuts securing the moon roof have been revised as shown:
