Introduction





To improve durability the shape of Valve Body Gasket No.2 has been changed. Should a vehicle exhibit harsh engagement shock when shifting from 'N" 4 "R" or "P" + "R" inspect condition of this gasket. If gasket is found to be damaged as shown in the illustration, also inspect the Direct Clutch (C2) for damage.

NOTE: Refer to Service Bulletin No. TC002-96 regarding direct clutch (C2) update.





Parts Information

NOTE: New transmissions with serial numbers after D0908172, and Remanufactured transmissions with serial numbers after 96K # 357A, have the new gasket installed. When replacing a transmission with a unit having a serial number prior to the change be sure to install a new gasket also.
